Storyline: Martha doesn't like her roommate because she always makes loud noises. Roger suggests that Martha should have a heart-to-heart talk with her roommate, but Martha....

Roger : So, how is your new roommate?
Martha: She really turns me off.
Roger : What happened?
Martha: She's always making loud noises at midnight and when I remind her, she
always makes rude remarks.
Roger : Why don't you have a heart to heart chat with her?
Martha: I tried, but it didn't work.
Roger : But how many times did you try?
Martha: At least three times. I guess I'm going to complain to the manager. I hope
she can be evicted.

Storyline: Jon thinks that his roommate is taking advantage of him. Terri suggests that Jon have a talk with his roommate to get things straight.

Terri: How are things going with you and your roommate?
Jon : Not very well. We're supposed to share the groceries, but I end up feeding
him three meals a day. My grocery bill is huge, you know. I really can't
afford it any longer.
Terri: I know how you feel. I used to have a roommate like that. He never offered
to reimburse me for anything.
Jon : I'm really fed up with his freeloading, but I just don't know how to tell
him that he should come up with half the grocery bill, because sometimes he
treats me to a meal in a restaurant.
Terri: Well, honesty is the best policy. Maybe you just want to have a heart
to-heart, friend-to-friend talk with him. If he refuses to mend his ways,
then ask him to move out. You can't let him wear out his welcome.

Julie is very upset about her oily skin. So she asks Mary for advice....

Julie: Hi, Mary, I know you're an expert in skincare.
Mary : Well, I wouldn't say that, but I do know something. So how can I help
you?
Julie: I think I have an oily skin and there're always small bumps here and there
on my face. How can I get rid of them? They're really irritating!
Mary : Well, I would suggest that you wash your face often. Every night you should
rinse your face with lukewarm water, then pat it dry with a clean towel.
Make sure you don't rub it dry. Then you apply this cream to your
face.
Julie: Oh, this cream?
Mary : Yeah. It's pretty effective in wiping out poreclogging dirt and oil. It
rids your face of dead cells and helps stimulate circulation.
Julie: Wow!
Mary : Oh, just use a small amount on the oily areas. Also, don't rub it hard.
Just dab it lightly.
Julie: I'll keep that in mind!
Mary : Of course. Also, I would suggest you get a facial every four to six weeks
for a deep cleaning.

Insomnia; I didn't sleep a wink last night.

Steve doesn't seem to have enough sleep. He's been under great pleasure recently.

Sydney: Steve, you look pale. What happened?
Steve : I didn't sleep a wink last night.
Sydney: Did you have something on your mind? You look so concerned! May be I can
help you.
Steve : Well, I'm under a lot of pressure. My boss is very pushy. He assigned me
three projects. Now the deadlines are near and I still haven't finished all
of my projects.
Sydney: Is there anything I can do to help you?
Steve : Well, I guess no one can help me but myself. For the moment, I just need
somoneone to talk to so that I can relieve my stress.

Storyline: Jodie urges her friend Frank to finish his dinner quickly, but Frank complains that he doesn't want to rush all the time. He says he just wants to enjoy life.

Jodie: Aren't you finished with your dinner yet? You're slow!
Frank: No, I'm not! I just wanna enjoy life and not have to rush all the
time.
Jodie: But they're waiting for us.
Frank: Oh, that's right. I almost forgot. I'll be done in a second. Gee! Why is
life always so rushie-rushie?

Clerk: May I help you?
Karen: Yes. Do you have these shoes in size seven?
Clerk: I'm not sure. If you can't find them on the rack, they may be out of stock. But let me look in the stockroom.
Karen: Thanks. I'd like to try on a pair if you have them.
Clerk: I'll be right back.

Jake: Ouch! This tooth is really bugging me.
Anna: Maybe you have a cavity. Have you seen the dentist?
Jake: No, I haven't. Going to the dentist really unnerves me. I try to avoid it
like the plague.
Anna: Come on. Don't be a chicken! It can't be that bad!
Jake: I'm not a chicken! But I'll do anything to keep myself from getting in the
dentist's chair.
Anna: Even deal with a tooth that's killing you?
Jake: You bet!

Romance
I'm breaking up with her.

Mike wants to break up with his girlfriend because....

Gary: Hi, Mike, we're having a party tonight, wanna come join us? You can bring
your girlfriend.
Mike: Well...I'm breaking up with Cathy.
Gary: What happened? Did you have a fight?
Mike: No. She's really a very nice girl....
Gary: Yeah, she is. She's pretty, caring, and easy-going. And she's a great cook! She's a gem!
Mike: Well, you're right. But sometimes she's too caring... well...no...she's
just possessive...and...uh... I kind of want a break...you know...for some
rooms for myself.
Gary: Oh?! Did you talk with her about it?
Mike: I've tried, but...it didn't work.
Gary: Oh. So, when are you going to tell her?
Mike: Maybe tonight. I don't know. I don't know how to tell her.
Gary: I know she's head over heels in love with you. She'll be badly hurt!

Tom fell asleep when he was waiting in the lounge for his plane to arrive. When he woke up, he found his backpack no longer there. He was very anxious and asked Mary about it....

Tom : Where is my backpack?
Mary: I don't know. Where did you leave it?
Tom : I just put it on the chair a while ago, but now it's gone.
Mary: Are you sure?
Tom : Of course, I'm sure! I bet someone stole it.
